Kelly Reilly’s ‘Yellowstone’ and the Grim Future of Beth and Rip

A Rocky Road Ahead

Yellowstone’s intense couple Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) finally tied the knot last season, but their path to marital bliss is lined with obstacles.

Beth is as stubborn and confrontational as ever, aggressively defending the Dutton family ranch against enemies and rarely holding back her scathing tongue, even with Rip. And Rip’s violent tendencies and trauma from his difficult childhood continue simmering under the surface.

In an interview, Kelly Reilly hinted that Beth and Rip will face major challenges in their relationship moving forward. “I think we’re going to see Beth have to make choices and decisions that are going to conflict with her desire to be happy with Rip,” she said.

Rip likewise will grapple with his inner demons and struggle to find stability. “Beth brings out the madness in him at times,” said Cole Hauser.

While passionately in love, Beth and Rip’s volatility could put their happiness at risk. Executive Producer David Glasser said, “I think people might be a little shocked at where [their relationship] goes.”

A peaceful partnership seems unlikely given Beth’s reckless nature and Rip’s ingrained trauma. The odds are stacked against them, despite their intense connection. Their upcoming struggles will shed light on whether true love can overcome toxicity and chaos.

Fans holding out hope for Beth and Rip will have to buckle up for what’s sure to be a bumpy ride in Yellowstone season 5 and beyond. Where they end up remains uncertain, but the road ahead looks grim.

  1. I think Summer ought to be a surrogate for Beth and Rip. That’s what both truly want. End it on a good note for them. However, kill Jaime off. Who cares about Kevin costner, he didn’t give a bit about his fans. Use Josh Lucas to play John!!!!!!

    • Agreed … I say kill John off ..he isn’t the only one who made the show.. seems Costner is the only one who wanted more money.. he made millions and millions of Yellowstone plus help produce it.. and Yellowstone was the #1 show.. it’s pretty sad to take it away from so many fans…

  2. I am done with Yellowstone. The should have had all this worked out before getting fans hooked and then left us hanging for too long, only to cancel the show all together. Highly 😞 . Will look for something else to watch but nothing from Sheridan that’s for sure.

  3. I truly want RIP and Beth to keep there love for each other strong even through obstacles. I also like John and Lenel to continue to keep ther feelings for one another even with the interruptions of Summer for a short-lived minute.

  4. I am watching Yellowstone over and over and each time crying and a heaviness in my chest. That is how I will deal the end and the beautiful song I play over and over as loud as I can. Thank you for a truly beautiful story and all the people that made it unforgettable ❤️

  5. I loved Yellowstone and was shocked with their decision to end it. Like someone else had said, we got hooked, and they pulled the rug out from under all the fans. But in the end, it’s just a TV show.
